In brief: Christopher Bailey has nothing of a star – he graduated from the Royal College of Art in London (1994) and works for Donna Karan from 1994 to 1996. In 1996, he works as senior designer of womenswear at Gucci till 2001, year of his collaboration with Burberry.
His style: Christopher Bailey is also developping the image of the House and managing the editorials. His visionary vision of the woman includes contemporary looks, between tradition conserved with the trench for instance and a touch of novelty with his new codes that he tries to insert all along the shows. Enthusiastic, passionate, talented, Christopher Bailey was awarded by the Royal College of Art an Honorary Fellowship in 2003. He was also twice awarded by the British Fashion Awards for Menswear Design in 2007 and 2008. In 2013, Bailey was named at the next CEO after the departure of Angela Ahrendts.
